Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and AUSCA Micro Finance Cooperative Society Ltd ("AUSCA", "we", "us"), a cooperative society registered in Nigeria with its head office at 78 Hospital Road, By Asa Road (3rd Floor), Aba, Abia State. They govern your use of the AUSCA member app, the member portal at app.auscacoop.org and this website (together, "the services"). By creating an account or using the services you accept these terms.

Membership and accounts

• The services are for members of AUSCA and of affiliated societies of the AUSCA Cooperative Movement, and for approved walk-in customers of the cooperative store. Membership is open to adults who meet the conditions in the bye-laws.
• You must give accurate, current information when you register and keep it up to date.
• Keep your login details and one-time codes private. Anything done through your account with your credentials is treated as done by you, so tell us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.

Savings, loans and other products

• Figures shown in the app, such as balances, loan schedules and interest, reflect the cooperative's books. If you believe a figure is wrong, raise it with the office; the cooperative's reconciled records are authoritative.
• Loan approvals, interest rates, guarantor requirements, penalties and welfare benefits follow the bye-laws and the product terms shown to you when you apply.
• Submitting a request in the app, such as a withdrawal or loan application, is a request, not a completed transaction, until the cooperative approves and posts it.

Payments

Online card payments are processed by Paystack under their own terms. Cash and transfer payments follow the cooperative's receipting process. Fees and charges, where they apply, are shown before you confirm a transaction or are set out in the bye-laws.

The cooperative store

Store purchases, including Easy Buy credit purchases and online guest orders with branch pickup, are subject to the price, payment and collection terms shown at the time of purchase. Goods remain the cooperative's until the applicable payment condition is met.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the services for any unlawful purpose or to commit fraud.
• Do not attempt to access another member's account or records.
• Do not probe, overload or interfere with the services or try to bypass their security.

We may suspend or close access to the services for breach of these terms or the bye-laws, subject to the rights the bye-laws give you as a member.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the services available and accurate, but they are provided "as is" and may be interrupted for maintenance or by events outside our control. We may improve or change features of the app and portal over time. Where a change is significant we will tell members in the app or by message.

Liability

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Nigerian law or the bye-laws. Beyond that, we are not liable for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, by your own breach of these terms, or by use of your credentials that you failed to keep private. Our total liability in connection with the services is limited to the value of the transaction that gave rise to the claim.

Intellectual property

The app, portal, website, and their content and branding belong to AUSCA or its licensors. You may use them only to access the services as a member or customer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes about membership matters follow the dispute process in the bye-laws; other disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
